Prairieland Frontiersmen
For five decades, we have honored the spirit of the 1830s mountain man—a time of rugged individualism, camaraderie, and the crack of blackpowder echoing through the wilderness. We have carried the flame of history, tradition, and craftsmanship in our hearts, sharing the lore of the long rifle and the skills of a by gone era.
We're incredibly proud of the history we've built, and we believe there's no better way to celebrate than by sharing this moment with other clubs who share our passion.
So, dust off your long rifles and sharpen your throwing knives and join the Prairieland Frontiersmen's 50th Annual Rendezvous. It is just around the corner, and you won’t want to miss it!
Step back in time with fellow enthusiasts, share in the stories and skills that define us, and help us forge new memories as we honor our past and look to the future. We are especially excited to share this golden anniversary celebration during the 250th anniversary of our Nation.God Bless America!
Join us from April 24 – 26, 2026 at Prairieland Frontiersmen club grounds just outside of Sullivan, Illinois for a weekend of blackpowder, brotherhood, and a tribute to the frontiersmen spirit. Our members have been hard at work, planning a rendezvous that will be truly unforgettable.
What to Expect:
-
Historic Events: Test your skills in shooting, hawk and knife, and primitive archery.
-
Special Features: We'll be kicking off the festivities with an honor guard and the raising of Old Glory.
-
Prize of a Lifetime: Every registered contestant—including our young bucks and does— will receive a free ticket for a drawing to win a brand-new Kibler Woodsrunner rifle kit! The odds are much better than Powerball, so a little luck and a love for the sport could win you a piece of history.
Whether you prefer a primitive camp or a modern one, you're welcome here. Come for the weekend or just as a day shooter. Traditional dress is great, but blue jeans are always welcome.
Share a story, compete in an event, and help us make this rendezvous a truly historic celebration.
